You'll find Wine Country Farm Vineyard & Winery and its bed and breakfast in the heart of Dundee's Red Hills, providing beautiful 180 degree views of the Cascade Mountains and surrounding Willamette Valley. Their estate grown grapes (from vines planted in 1970) never leave the farm: they are hand-picked, crushed, processed, bottled, and then stored in their own facility. Wine Country Farm and its B&B make for an amazing getaway filled with wine tasting, lovely forest strolls or a picnic in their private gardens.
Zeppa is Italian for "wedge" as well as the name of this vibrant Italian bistro in the heart of Sunriver. With a large (and dog-friendly!) patio offering views of breaktaking Mt. There are a lot of really interesting and fun things to do in Astoria, Oregon. But to be honest, one of my favorite parts of visiting this north coast city is to see the huge freighters sail by in the background.
Seeing something so big, so close to land and setting a moving backdrop makes Astoria a place where I can sit and watch these huge ships sail down the Columbia River to either Portland, or out to the Pacific Ocean.
This majestic pine is the biggest of its species ever recorded. It was a giant before the Oregon Territory was established, enduring centuries of fire, insects, disease, and human impact. Recently half of its crown was lost to weather, making another Ponderosa taller, but "Big Red" remains the largest in circumference.
