A Maze In Grace Gardens

We offer a great environment in which we encourage children and adults to let their imagination run free.  We have all kinds of entertainment available for your family when you visit us.  And every year we are expanding.  We have a miniature hay maze for the younger folk, hay rides, small and large pumpkins, a corn maze, and our famous 4 wheel drive pirate ship.  Come check it out in our photos.

Aero Legends

There is a saying that if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.

T.F. “Sam” Spayd is living that saying.

Spayd, who has more than 30 years of experience flying everything from Air Force planes to Boeing 747s, in retirement is sharing his love of flying with visitors to the Oregon Coast.

Based out of the airfield in Florence, Spayd offers a unique way to see the dunes, coast and lighthouses on the southern Oregon coast.

Alberta Street

One of the best things about discovering a new city is finding the hidden funky neighborhoods that shape the fashion and art undercurrents found around town. Alberta Street, in North East Portland, is one of these. For years it was known as a problem neighborhood riddled with crime but in the early 90's as Portland hit a growth spurt, Alberta was cleaned up and reborn as an epicenter of youth and culture.

Allegory Books & Gifts

The Oregon coast offers a plethora of activities and sites to see that will keep anyone busy. However, some of us go to the coast to find a calm, quiet time to read, watch the waves, play games with family with the picturesque setting in the background.

For those people, Allegory Books and Gifts is a great place to visit.

The store, located in the shops of the Salishan Spa and Golf Resort, has been open for 38 years – a remarkable feat in this environment of big box bookstores and online retailers.

Antique Powerland

Antique Powerland Museum is a consortium of more than 15 museums and groups on a 62 acre site south of Portland along Interstate 5 that are focused on the history of industry and horsepower. It is known for its annual “Steam-Up” event that occurs each summer. Each of the museums in the group is in charge of building and manning their own sites, and the entire operation is done with volunteer labor.

Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall

It has been known by three names, has been the site of at least one documented gun fight, and to this day attracts the rich and the poor alike.

It’s the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, and its history is as rich as the sound from the main stage when the Oregon Symphony holds a concert.

“There are a lot of stories about different aspects of the building,” says Alicia Loos a public relations coordinator for Portland Center for the Performing Arts, the group that manages the historic former movie house.

Arneson Garden

Nestled behind the Fred Meyer store in Canby you will find a jewel of a park that captures the heritage of the area, as a small industrial park grows around it.

Arneson Garden is filled with old-growth trees and has a trail that circles the garden, taking you on a nature walk minutes from a small city.

Astoria Column

Astoria Column offers panoramic views of nature and history

Standing in the grass at the Astoria Column, make sure you watch out for low-flying aircraft. Made of balsawood.

It's a tradition that has been going on at the column for years. Visitors buy small balsawood planes at the gift shop, climb to the top of the 125-foot column and launch them into the air. Shouts and laughter of children seeing how far and fast the planes will fly through the air much like the small planes.

Astoria Trolley

The ringing of the bell can be heard up and down the pier, as “Old 300” runs along the Columbia River in Astoria.

The trolley, which was originally made for the San Antonio Traction Company in 1913, runs from the East End Mooring Basin and West End Mooring on the original train tracks. Basically the trolley runs all along Astoria’s historic waterfront, which still features restaurants, docks and piers.
